The story
behind it
The Swiggy Web3 project aimed to transform traditional point-based loyalty into a verifiable, tradeable, and engaging asset-based system. Users earn unique digital collectibles through the Dineout platform which unlock tiered premium services and partner discounts.
What stood in the way
Integrating Web3 technology into a high-scale consumer app required frictionless onboarding. We had to abstract the complexity of wallets and gas fees to ensure 100M+ users could interact with the system without technical knowledge.
How we made it happen
A 'gasless' infrastructure combined with social login-based custodial wallets was implemented. We utilized a scalable sidechain to handle the high volume of micro-transactions associated with daily reward distributions.
